Dubai Winter Season Supercar Rental: Why November to March Sells Out and How to Book Early

Supercar driving along Jumeirah Beach Road in Dubai winter sunshine

Ask anyone at our Al Merkadh office when to plan a Dubai winter season car rental and the answer is the same: the moment you know your dates. From November to March the weather sits between 20 and 30 degrees, the roads are full of visitors, and the calendar stacks National Day, the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, GITEX, New Year's Eve, the Shopping Festival and Valentine's Day into four months. Every supercar in the city is spoken for on the key weekends. This guide explains what happens to prices, which of our cars go first and how to secure the one you want without paying a seasonal premium.

Why winter is supercar season: 20 to 30 degrees, open roads, events

Dubai in July is a place you drive between air-conditioned buildings. Dubai in December is a place you drive for the sake of driving. Daytime temperatures in the low to mid twenties mean you can open the windows on Jumeirah Beach Road, stand beside the car at the Palm crescent for photographs without wilting, and take the mountain road to Hatta in the morning and still be back for lunch.

The events matter as much as the weather. Visitors arrive for the Grand Prix, for the National Day long weekend, for GITEX and for the festive fortnight, and a high proportion of them want a car that matches the occasion. Residents book too, because the season is short and everyone knows it. The result is that a fleet the size of ours, six cars available and more arriving, is fully allocated for the December weekends weeks in advance.

What a Dubai winter season car rental costs from November

Across the market, winter pricing rises. Reports in the local press and rates seen on other Dubai rental sites in September 2026 suggest increases of roughly 10% to 30% between the summer low and the December peak, with the sharpest jumps around New Year's Eve. Some operators quote a different number when you ask for 31 December.

We do it differently. Our published rates are flat through the season: the McLaren 750S is AED 2,200 per day whether you book it for a Tuesday in October or for the Grand Prix weekend, and the Mercedes-AMG G 63 is AED 1,200 per day on New Year's Eve as it is in May. What changes in winter is not the price but the availability. Booking early does not save you money with us; it saves you the car.

The full rate card, deposit tiers and what is included are in our complete guide to renting a supercar in Dubai. Weekly and monthly offers move through the season, so check special offers before you confirm.

Key dates: National Day, Abu Dhabi GP, GITEX, NYE, DSF, Valentine's, Eid

These are the weeks that fill first. Dates were checked on 17 September 2026 against the research we hold; the official UAE public holiday list is published on u.ae and event organisers confirm their own dates closer to the time.

  • UAE National Day, 2 December 2026, with the public holiday running 2 to 3 December. Expect parades, flags on every car and road closures around the main celebration sites.
  • Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, 4 to 6 December 2026 at Yas Marina Circuit. Many visitors combine it with National Day into a single five-day rental; remember the Dubai to Yas round trip is well over 250 km on race day.
  • GITEX Global, 7 to 11 December 2026 at Expo City, per the event listings we checked; confirm on the organiser's site. Business travellers favour the G 63 and Urus S by the week.
  • Dubai Shopping Festival, usually mid-December into January; 2026 to 2027 dates were not yet confirmed when we checked.
  • Christmas and New Year's Eve, the single busiest week of the year for every rental company in the city.
  • Valentine's Day, 14 February 2027. Two-seat cars go first.
  • Ramadan is expected to begin around 8 February 2027, with Eid al-Fitr around 10 March 2027 and a holiday of several days. Roads are quieter in the day and busy after sunset; the Eid break itself is a strong booking period for residents.

Which YAZ cars book out first, and why the G 63 is the value pick

Last winter the pattern from our booking sheet was consistent. The Porsche 911 GT3 RS and the Lamborghini Huracán Tecnica went first for the Grand Prix and New Year weeks, usually to drivers who had a specific car in mind and contacted us before the month began. The McLaren 750S followed close behind once people compared its AED 2,200 rate with what a 750S costs elsewhere. The Lamborghini Urus S was the most requested car for groups and families, particularly by the week, and the Urus Performante attracted drivers who wanted a Urus nobody else would have.

The car that stayed available longest was the Mercedes-AMG G 63, and that is the one we would point most winter visitors to. It is AED 1,200 per day, five seats, a real boot, the lowest extra-kilometre rate in the fleet at AED 8 and a 2025 model. It fits any hotel valet stand and looks right in every photograph of Dubai you have ever seen. If the sports cars have gone, it is not a consolation prize.

How far ahead to book for December and New Year

We cannot promise availability, only tell you how it tends to go. For the National Day and Grand Prix week, contact us by mid-November at the latest and earlier if you want a specific car. For Christmas week and New Year's Eve, mid-December is the practical deadline, and the two-seaters are usually gone before then. For ordinary winter weeks in January and February, a few days' notice is normally enough, except around Valentine's Day.

Dates are secured once the payment link we send on WhatsApp has been settled. Availability is confirmed there and then; if you need a few hours to decide, say so and we will tell you honestly whether the car is under pressure for those dates. The deposit, AED 2,000 at 25 and over or AED 5,000 under 25, is taken on collection, not at booking.

Weekly and monthly rates for long winter stays

A growing share of our winter customers are not weekend visitors but people spending a month or a season in Dubai. For them the weekly and monthly rates change the calculation:

  • Mercedes-AMG G 63: AED 7,200 per week.
  • Lamborghini Urus S: AED 12,000 per week or AED 48,000 per month.
  • Lamborghini Huracán Tecnica: AED 13,000 per week.
  • Lamborghini Urus Performante: AED 13,800 per week.
  • McLaren 750S: AED 15,400 per week.
  • Porsche 911 GT3 RS: AED 85,000 per month; weekly on request.

All include 250 km per day, pooled across the rental, and comprehensive insurance. A long-stay booking made in October also removes the December scramble entirely, because the car is simply yours for the season. Delivery to a residence can be arranged; ask on WhatsApp.

FAQ

Is it too hot to drive a convertible in Dubai?

From November to March, no; the weather is ideal for open-air driving. From June to September, yes, for most people. Our fleet is coupés and SUVs rather than convertibles, and in winter that costs you nothing: the windows go down, the naturally aspirated engines in the GT3 RS and Huracán Tecnica are the point, and you avoid the sun on a long drive to Hatta or Abu Dhabi.

Do rental prices go up at Christmas in Dubai?

Across the market, generally yes. Rates seen on other Dubai rental sites and in local press reports point to increases of roughly 10% to 30% in peak winter weeks, with Christmas and New Year at the top. Our published rates do not change: the G 63 is AED 1,200 per day and the Urus S AED 2,000 per day in December as in any other month. What runs out is availability, not the price.

Can I reserve a supercar without paying?

We confirm availability on WhatsApp straight away, but dates are secured once the payment link we send has been settled. In peak winter weeks a car that is free at 10:00 can be booked by lunchtime, so we do not hold dates on a verbal request. The deposit is separate and is taken on collection, in cash, by transfer or by card with a 3% surcharge.

Which month is cheapest to rent a supercar in Dubai?

Across the wider market, the summer months are cheapest because demand falls with the heat. At YAZ Car Rental there is no cheapest month, because we publish one rate per car for the whole year. The practical advice is therefore about weather rather than price: October and March give you winter driving conditions with far less competition for the cars than December and January.
